Dr Jonathan Dillon is a diligent, dedicated and passionate member of the Imaging Associates Box Hill team. He first started his career in radiology in 2014 and joined Imaging Associates in 2019. He is meticulous in his attention to detail, has a broad knowledge and understanding of anatomy, physics, pathology and injury patterns and his procedural skills are extensive.

Jonathan is a natural problem solver; for him, every scan is its own puzzle to be solved.

Jonathan completed a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (1st Class Honours) at Monash University in 2011. He then attained a Master of Medicine (Radiology) at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2019. He trained as a radiologist at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne and was made a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) in 2019. He also completed a Musculoskeletal Fellowship in 2019 with Imaging Associates and an MRI Fellowship at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in 2020.

Before joining Imaging Associates full-time in 2022, Jonathan worked as a Consultant Radiologist at St Vincent’s Hospital from 2019-2022 where he held various positions, including a period of time as Acting Director of Medical Imaging. He remains an Honorary Consultant at St Vincent’s Hospital. Over the course of his career, Jonathan has authored a number of published research papers and he is active as an educator and mentor for radiology trainees. Jonathan loves his work; for him every day is different, and every scan is its own problem to solve. He derives enormous personal and professional satisfaction from helping his patients through accurate diagnosis of scans and collaborating with referring clinicians to produce the best possible patient outcomes.
