Cheng was drawn to radiology as a diagnostic and procedural specialty where constantly evolving technology and cases that span multiple disciplines, ensures that she is always challenged and continually learning. In 2013, Cheng completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Anatomy by Dissection at the University of New England. She continued her training with fellowships in Musculoskeletal and MRI, and further breast imaging fellowships with Northwestern Breastscreen and St Vincent’s Breastscreen.

As a medical professional, Cheng is passionate about not only providing the highest quality of expert care for her patients, but also being empathetic.  She gets enormous satisfaction from meeting patients, listening to their stories, and helping them on their journey. She is also a terrific team member; she is collaborative, compassionate and loves learning from and teaching others. She is highly regarded as a speaker and teacher/tutor for medical students, junior doctors and clinicians from other fields of medicine and, over the course of her career, she has delivered a number of oral presentations at scientific meetings and conferences.
