About our Cowes radiology clinic
Imaging Associates has partnered with Bass Coast Health as part of the new Community Hospital in Cowes, to bring advanced medical imaging services closer to home for the local community.
Part of the major redevelopment of the Phillip Island Health, our purpose-built radiology clinic will offer high-quality imaging services including low dose CT scans, ultrasound and general X-ray and dental (OPG) scans, supporting a broad range of patient needs. This new radiology precinct enhances the hospital’s ability to deliver integrated healthcare and reduce the need for residents to travel long distances for essential diagnostic services.
Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care, prioritising patient outcomes and convenience while working in close partnership with Bass Coast Health and local healthcare providers to meet the evolving needs of the region. The clinic is part of a broader effort to ease pressure on Wonthaggi Hospital by expanding access to diagnostic imaging locally.

In October 2024, Imaging Associates partnered with Bass Coast Health as radiology provider for Wonthaggi Hospital. These services have been extended to the new Phillip Island Community Hospital making quality imaging care more accessible to local patients.
As part of this partnership, we have enhanced and introduced several key imaging services at Wonthaggi Hospital, including:
- A new low-dose cardiac-capable CT scanner.
- Continuation of BreastScreen services, ensuring seamless care.
- Diagnostic mammography, with upgraded equipment (2025).
- Services operated by an expert team of radiologists and imaging professionals.
- In addition, Imaging Associates will support Bass Coast Health’s long-term expansion, including the development of a future MRI facility at Wonthaggi Hospital.
