Imaging Associates Footscray is opening on 14^th October 2026 , bringing comprehensive diagnostic imaging and specialist radiology expertise to the heart of the new Footscray Hospital Precinct. 

Located on Level 1, Building 1, in the new Footscray Hospital, our purpose-built facility is the largest private imaging facility in Melbourne’s west. The light-filled 1,100sqm clinic has been architecturally designed around patient care, with advanced imaging technology, a comprehensive range of services and an expert, dedicated clinical team.

Led by Clinical Director and Executive Director Dr Louise Bentley, the Footscray team brings together experienced sub-specialised radiologists and a highly skilled clinical team, with expertise across a full range of imaging services, including PET CT later in 2026. 

Our doctor-led approach means diagnosis is provided by our expert team of radiologists, working closely with our radiographers, sonographers and clinical teams to provide accurate, clinically useful imaging and a considered patient experience.

The Footscray clinic provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services, including:

• 3T MRI 
• CT, including cardiac imaging and Lung Cancer screening 
• Ultrasound
• X-Ray
• Mammography 
• DEXA 
• PET-CT, opening in late 2026

Convenient access to imaging 

We understand that timely access to imaging is important. 
Walk-ins will be available for CT and X-ray, while same-day appointments are available for CT, X-Ray and ultrasound, subject to availability and preparation requirements. 

PET-CT coming to Footscray 

Opening in late 2026, Footscray will become home to Imaging Associates’ PET-CT service, further expanding access to advanced diagnostic imaging in Melbourne’s west. 

The new PET-CT service will support specialised imaging across areas including oncology, urology, neurology and selected cardiac investigations, providing patients and referrers with critical access to advanced imaging closer to home.
