A decade ago, a team of radiologists set out to create a radiology practice with a difference.

“Doctor owned and doctor run, we aim to provide a business-class level of service and quality for our patients and doctors,” Clinical Director, Paul Marks said in the first article published in the Box Hill paper in 2014.

Now 10 years on, Imaging Associates Box Hill is well known in the medical fraternity for its reputation as one of clinical excellence and expertise.

Since opening its doors in February 2014, Box Hill has cared for over 173,000 local patients, performing a total of over 370,000 examinations.

An incredible sense of achievement and overwhelming pride resonates from our Box Hill founding team as they reflect on the clinic’s evolution since opening.

A particular memory for the Chief Radiographer at Box Hill, John Owens, and Operations Manager, Sophia Hill, was how modern and fresh the clinic looked, providing a safe and comfortable ‘spa like’ environment for all patients.

The Imaging Associates Box Hill team attributes it’s success to our dedicated staff, who consistently go above and beyond to care for all patients. Paul Marks stated that from the very beginning he “challenged staff to go one extra step, but the majority took two!”.

Sophia Hill commented that this continued approach contributes to our “continuity of staff, radiologists and leadership that have brought along new quality people in the IA way”.

Our founding team, led by Clinical Directors Dr Chris Holden and Dr Paul Marks were instrumental in building loyalty amongst referring practitioners and patients, whilst providing an individualised and specialised service.

From humble beginnings, with a team of around 10 staff, our Box Hill practice now proudly runs with up to 30 staff daily, comprised of administration, radiographers, radiologists, sonographers, and nurses.

Carmel Warrington, Administration Team Leader, describes the Box Hill team as family. Her most “memorable moments are the connections that have formed”, with the success of the clinic being attributed to “the environment, equipment, images and reports, and most importantly the people behind it all”.

Our investment in technology remains a key focus, having expanded Box Hill’s equipment from two ultrasound machines to seven, doubling our MRI capacity to now two 3T scanners and continuous software upgrades on all machines to ensure we remain at the forefront of medical imaging.

A huge congratulations to the entire Imaging Associates team, as we recognise this tremendous achievement.
