Imaging Associates recently sponsored the team “Not Fast, Just Furious” in this year’s Shitbox Rally, a fundraising event that supports the Cancer Council. The rally is one of Australia’s most unique charity road trips, where teams drive old cars worth less than $1,500 across some of the country’s toughest and most remote roads to raise money for cancer research.
The “Not Fast, Just Furious” team featured Daniel McCallum and Dillon Reynolds, who took on the 7-day challenge driving a $400 1994 Peugeot 405 SRI from Alice Springs to the Gold Coast, covering roughly 4,000 km.

The Shitbox Rally was founded by James Freeman after he tragically lost both of his parents to cancer within 12 months. Driven by his personal experience, James created the rally to turn the challenge of ‘shit boxes’ across Australia into a fun and impactful way to raise funds for cancer research.
Since starting in 2009, the Shitbox Rallies have raised over $60 million for the Cancer Council, becoming the organisation’s largest fundraising initiative. It’s a one-of-a-kind adventure that combines endurance, teamwork, and community spirit in support of people affected by cancer.
While their Peugeot didn’t quite make it to the finish line, breaking down 300 kilometres from the end, Daniel and Dillon’s resilience captured the essence of the rally. Together, they raised an impressive $10,601 for cancer research.

Supporting “Not Fast, Just Furious” was a meaningful way for Imaging Associates to contribute to a cause close to our hearts. Cancer diagnosis is an important part of what we do at Imaging Associates, and we’re proud to support initiatives that fund vital research and improve outcomes for patients and families affected by cancer.
Congratulations to Daniel, Dillon, and all the teams who took part in this year’s rally for their effort, resilience, and contribution to such an important cause.
