Specialties: Breast Imaging, Intervention and MRI
Dr Marne has been working as a radiologist since 2012. She joined Imaging Associates in 2017 with breast imaging her particular area of expertise. In her professional practice, Bhaveen’s motivation is simple: ‘Do good, make a difference’.
Bhaveen graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2006 with a Bachelor of Medicine. She completed her medical internship in Adelaide and then her residency and registrar training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, first in plastic surgery, followed by radiology. She completed her Fellowship in breast radiology in 2017 with North Western BreastScreen.
Bhaveen derives enormous satisfaction from her work, especially when she can detect and identify unexpected findings that can change outcomes for her patients.
While Bhaveen is a diagnostic and procedural generalist, breast imaging is her particular area of expertise. She was inspired to move into radiology from her original pursuit of plastic surgery because she enjoys turning her mind to all aspects of medicine. The field of radiology encompasses the whole human anatomy – essentially every disease – and requires an important multidisciplinary approach, which Bhaveen also enjoys.
Bhaveen derives enormous satisfaction from her work, especially when she can detect and identify unexpected findings that can change outcomes for her patients. In her day-to-day practice, Bhaveen is punctual, flexible, compassionate and warm, putting her patients at their ease in what can be a stressful time in their lives.
For Bhaveen, the most satisfying aspects of her professional life are the people she meets and the variety of work she encounters each day as a radiologist.
